I have a small amount of fresh Ourisia coccinea seeds. Anybody want some?

Looks like a real charmer! Seems doubtful it would survive here, but looks like a great addition to the shade garden in warmer places :)

In a cool climate like mine, I think it's best to give them a lot of sun and constantly moist soil.  They don't bloom well in shade.

Interesting! When I looked them up briefly yesterday all the references said shade or part shade-- didn't check where they were though..

Gene, I would love to try some! I have many failures with old seeds :-\

A friend of mine visited the area where these plants grow naturally (he didn't collect seed though). They often grow in full sun at least part of the day but along seepage lines in steep rock walls.
