Has anyone grown this species and able to offer advice? I got seeds from the AGS and I'm delighted to say they are germinating. Pictures I've seen of this bright red androsace look stunning!

Me too - and I never managed to get another generation - disappointing
It's beautiful for sure: I've grown it once or twice. Monocarp, alas!
