Re: Why bother walking in the mountains!
Obviously not. Can't see any bags or secateurs :-\ They're close enough anyway
Re: Why bother walking in the mountains!
To answer the title of this post, the reason to walk in the mountains, is not to flaunt a death-wish flying down a mountain like Rocky the squirrel. (google "Rocky and Bullwinkle" if you don't know the reference)
Re: Why bother walking in the mountains!
I have no wish at all to do anything like it but it fascinate me that somebody actually do such things.
Re: Why bother walking in the mountains!
....like Rocky the squirrel
When I was a kid, I had a nickname: Rock. It was short for Rocky the Flying Squirrel because I was up in the trees all the time. ;D
No attempts at acrobatics, though, except when jumping to the ground!

Too funny. Eventually your nickname transitioned into Rock, short for "Rock Gardener" ;)

Re: Why bother walking in the mountains!
Crazy ! I only just recovered from the last film.......
I suppose the reason the human flying squirrels have those smoke cans attached to their legs is so they can be found (and the bodies retrieved ) more easily when they smash into a tree or a cliff? :o :-\

That thought came across my mind, too....

Not much to find if they hit anything. But their friends will know where to build a cairn in memory :-\

Yes, Trond- that is a very practical idea. :-X
So they don't collect seeds and cuttings on the way down?
