I always like the "touch of frost" photos.  That yucca is no exception.

After a week of balmy days in the 50's and one in the 60's, we're back into freezing nights and days in the 30's and 40's.

I started covering my less than cold hardy plants this past week for the winter.

Aaron
Always nice to see the seasonal changes in the garden. I love it when we get horror frost in the winter.
We are still fluctuating between fall and winter weather. Haven't seen any frost yet (humidity must be too low?) although we did dip down to 17 degrees two days ago, it was 34 this morning. The thing that worries me is the lack of any moisture in the valley. The early snow fall is very spotty.

That was about like the temps here, 16-18F but now the nights have been above freezing.  I can see no frost forming in your area, so very dry Reno is.  We have the farms and a small river here, but even then my skin dries out so badly in the winter here.
What zone would you say Reno is?  I would guess a zone 7/7b?

Aaron that is spot on! :) We got some light drizzles last night. Wet the ground about an inch down. Just enough to drop the fire danger out of the red zone.

Glad too hear that.  We got a good rain and some warm weather with it, smelled like the south in the air! :)

Glad to hear that the danger of wildfire has ceased. Here you couldn't ignite anything if you tried ;)

Thanks, Me too.
I was burning weeds today and they still burn, but not like they are soaked in gasoline. :D
