In 2009 Lawrence Thomas won the Millstream Garden Award in the Special Garden category.  Larry gardened on an east facing balcony on the 11th floor of an upper East Side apartment.  He is the founder of the Manhattan Chapter of NARGS.  Larry was also a gifted potter.  His high-fired pots were put to use on his terrace and were valued gifts to other gardeners.  Last October, many of his pots were featured in a News item describing a display put on by the Manhattan Chapter.

Anne Spiegel, Berkshire Chapter, was awarded the Millstream Garden Award in 2011 in the Rock and Alpine Garden category.
