Cyclamen pseudibericum

Cyclamen pseudibericum has a restricted range in SE Turkey, in the Amanus and Anti-Taurus Mountains. Here it grows at elevations of 500-1650 m, growing in open deciduous or coniferous woodlands and shady rocky slopes. It grows primarily on limestone or near-neutral substrates.

Cyclamen pseudibericum

The leaves appear in autumn and mature through the winter.  The amount of silvery markings on the leaves is variable. The flowers appear in late winter through spring.  They are various shades of magenta with a pleasant fragrance. It is not particularly hardy, probably zone 7-8, but makes an admirable pot plant for a cool greenhouse.
