Is this a Glaucidiaceae, Paeoniaceae or a Ranunculaceae?
Anyway it is a fine plant starting to flower now, a little later than last year.

Re: Glaucidium palmatum
One of my favorites! Mine is not even showing itself yet! Early June is the regular blooming time here!
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
I am waiting for this genus to appear! And I am hoping to get the white one too.
Here are pictures from last season:
My clump is getting too big. Has anybody tried to divide this species?
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
Yes Trond...I divided mine last spring and they did great! I wacked it up into lots of pieces...potted and/or spread them around the gardens. Keep them moist & in extra shade for a week or so.
Your clumps are gorgeous!! I also would love the white form.
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
Thank you Amy. I'll give it a try.
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
Trond beautiful plants, i used to keep mine in pots and they did nothing until I saw a friends planted out and since I put mine in the garden they have rushed away. Only problem is slugs eating the merging shoots.
Last years seed has come up in abundance this week.
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
Tony, do you have slugs too :o ;)
Did you plant the seeds indoors, outdoors or let them plant themselves?
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
Trond
I sow my seeds in pots and they were in a cold frame over the winter, they would never survive in the garden.
Re: Glaucidium palmatum
Magnificent sight Trond.
