I would love to share seed from this if I knew exactly what it was. I am pretty sure I obtained a clump of seedlings at a local NARGS meeting, but my notes are failing me. It blooms late, usually Aug-Sept. This year it is warm enough that it is reblooming Oct 26! The plants are over 5 years old, so this seems to be the final size. The color is a clear lemon, the leaves are very narrow. My best guesses from species lists are either much too large or bloom much earlier. (Ithaca NY, USA zone 5
for reference) A larger image facing the flower is attached, except it seems to be lodging itself smack against the one above! Sorry for the clear evidence of poor garden maintenance.

Fri, 10/27/2017 - 10:52amIf it is a species, I would think H. nana, or maybe a small form of H. minor.. But perhaps it is a hybrid? Did all the seedlings turn out the same?
Nevertheless, it is very cute, and if the seed comes fairly true, I could certainly put the seed to good use.

I think it is a species or
Fri, 10/27/2017 - 4:55pmI think it is a species or very stable hybrid. The seedlings all came out the same. I thought H. nana was closest, but supposedly it blooms "early". As does H. minor. The hybrid daylilies I DO have are all finished by mid-summer. I was excited at the possibility of H darrowiana, which supposedly blooms in August. But then I read that probably there are none in commerce, only mis-named plants. SIgh.
I will make a point of growing out the seed this year, and if it is true, I would be happy to send it anywhere or give to the Seedex. Thanks for your response.
