Paeonia kesrouanensis has been grown in Australia for a number of years under the misnomer of P. mascula. russii but recently Marcus Harvey has confirmed its true identity,

In the background of the first pic P. cambessedesii is seen to be in bud and soon to flower

That pic was taken a few days ago and the Paeonia cambessedesii is now flowering,

Yes, Trond, it would be worth growing for the foliage alone!

Here it is this morning in full flower - I'm not the only one to enjoy it!

I can understand that bee, the flowers are to be enjoyed at close encounter! They're not second to the leaves.
