Very nice! The lengthening days here are very encouraging - it's great to get a preview of spring flowers to keep one's spirits up! I enjoyed hearing the cardinal (which we don't have here) and robins (they won't arrive until mid-March).

At first I thought you had "too many" petals on the Bloodroot, as the locally wild ones here only have eight. (I'll have to test this generalization more "scientifically" this spring.) At an rate, I find that even in my Minnesota and Wisconsin flora books, the number of petals is recorded as variable (8-12(16)).
