More bulbs for experimentation: Leucocoryne 'Andes'. Should I plant these in baskets in order to pull them in the fall?
Thanks!

Re: Leucocoryne 'Andes'
Mon, 06/21/2010 - 3:00pmI've grown Leucocoryne from seed....can't recall the species but they did put on a good display in the greenhouse this past April. They are certainly not hardy in my zone 5b. I do keep mine in pots and repot each spring before I start watering them for the new season.

Tue, 02/01/2011 - 8:17pmThe 'Andes' sold here in Australia is pure Leucocoryne purpurea as far as we can tell, in case that helps with identifying it's needs?

Sun, 04/03/2011 - 2:06pmThe Leucocoryne I grew from seed is blooming now...as predicted. It is L. ixioides. About half are pure white while the others have a thin purple vein.
