Im not sure how widespread these are in US collections. Many could be considered true alpines. They are easy to grow, takes a lot of cold and are beautiful.

P. fiori x grandiflora rosea
P. grandiflora - this one is very adaptable and could even grow in acid bogs. And especially P grandiflora can be breed in zillions easily.
