Forums: Plant and Seed Swap Does anybody grow that plant?Where can I find seeds please? Comments Margaret Young Re: Balsamorhiza rosea Sun, 12/09/2012 - 8:36am Did you have any success finding seed, John ?I'm interested in it too, but I think the availability of such rare seed is very restricted. cohan (not verified) Re: Balsamorhiza rosea Sun, 12/09/2012 - 4:54pm Looks pretty cute! So the 'rosea' flowers are the new ones and they then turn yellow? Mark McDonough Re: Balsamorhiza rosea Sun, 12/09/2012 - 5:36pm I don't know of a seed source, but here's some handsome photographs:http://www.pnwflowers.com/flower/balsamorhiza-roseahttp://www.pnwflowers.com/flower/balsamorhiza-rosea/galleryhttp://biology.burke.washington.edu/herbarium/imagecollection.php?Genus=... Cohan, according to the last link, the flowers open yellow then age to orange-red. Sure would like to give this one a whirl. Our own NARGS Forum member Fringe from Seattle, Washington, might be a good resource in the future. The Fringe Nursery listing has 2 Balsamorhiza species listed, unfortunately not B. rosea (which is found in Washington to Oregon).http://nargs.org/smf/index.php?topic=1187.msg20278#msg20278https://sites.google.com/site/fringenurseryandseed/
