Morning Speaker: Donald LaFond

"A Michigan Rock Garden in a Gravel Pit"

Don found out that a cottage style garden wouldn't grow in a gravel pit so he started rock gardening instead. He joined NARGS around 1990. He's enjoyed being president and vice president of the Great Lakes Chapter of NARGS and collects Daphnes and dwarf conifers. His garden consists of sand, rhododendrons, trees, shrubs and other perennials.

After Lunch: THE BIG PLANT SALE

Purchase rare and unusual plants and seedlings at amazing prices.

The Sale is open to the public after members take their choice.

Donors get a first pick. Please pot up plants from your garden now to bring in September. Ask your favorite nursery if they would be willing to donate plants -- this is our largest fundraising event of the year. Bring a gardening friend, too!
