Draba ventosa

Here are some photos of Draba ventosa, which is an alpine that is native to Alberta, BC, and the Yukon, and down into Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.

These photos are taken in cultivation:

     

  

I'll add some pictures of it in seed as well, shortly.  

 

It seems that seeds of some drastically different, large-leaved Draba(s) are being sent around to seedexes under this name.   I hope that posting this info might be helpful towards correcting the situation if those who are interested in growing Draba spp. see it.  :-)

I've never collected the seed before but, this year, I will and will distribute some around to the seedexes, if there's enough.
