Ross Auditorium, New York Botanical Garden
Peter Korn will speak on "Rock Gardens" and Woodland Gardens"
Rock Gardens: covers the design and construction of the rock garden as well as the culture of rock garden plants. Rockeries can be built in almost any environment—from the desert to high alpines—it’s just a matter of selecting the right plants; illustrated mainly by photographs from Peter’s own garden.
Woodland Gardens: will discuss the design and construction of a woodland garden as well as the culture of woodland plants. Woodland plants can thrive in almost any environment; it’s just a matter of selecting the right plants. The specific conditions determine what types of plants are suitable; illustrated mainly by photographs from Peter’s own garden.
Peter Korn's garden and nursery east of Goteborg, Sweden was described in Mike Kintgen's Rock Quarterly (vol. 70, no. 3, pp. 288-297) article, Swedish Dreams.
