The meeting begins at 10 with coffee and conversation. A brief business meeting and Show & Tell start at 10:30, followed by our program. Bring your own lunch.
For our morning program, plantsman Joseph Tychonievich will talk about one of his favorite subjects, Rock Gardening. His second book, Rock Gardening: Reimagining a Classic Style, debuts in November at Timber Press. His afternoon program on Plant Propagation for the Home Gardener begins at 1 p.m. and will be a joint presentation for members and friends of the Berkshire Botanic Garden.
Part of a new generation of gardeners, Joseph Tychonievich earned his B.S. in horticulture from Ohio State University, went on to work for Shibamichi Honten Nursery in Saitama, Japan, and wrote a book, Plant Breeding for the Home Gardener. Tychonievich spent two years working at the famed rare plants nursery, Arrowhead Alpines, and was named by Organic Gardening magazine as one of "six young horticulturists who are helping to shape how America gardens."
