Ben and Frances Burr will speak on "Midsummer on the East Side of the Sierra Nevada"
The east side of the Sierra Nevada has a number of road heads that permit relatively easy access for day trips to view abundant subalpine flora. In this talk we will describe what can be seen in a year with average precipitation during mid summer. We will focus on the Tioga Pass area and the White Mountains, but will touch on Mono Lake, Lundy Canyon, Rock Creek, and Onion Valley.
