Naumkeag is located at 5 Prospect Hill Road in Stockbridge and is less than two miles from the Berkshire Botanical Garden. The 44 room shingled mansion designed by Stanford White in 1886 is sited on 48 acres with breathtaking views of the Berkshire Hills and over eight acres of gardens. The property was inherited by the Choate's daughter, Mabel, in 1929. She and Fletcher Steele collaborated on the garden designs over a thirty year period.
