On the NARGS Forum, when composing messages, text can be formatted to be bold, italicized, underlined, or marked with strikethrough, using the menu of buttons above the text window. It might also be advantageous to highlight text in a different color, to make it stand out from regular text, for example, when specifying the name of a plant. With the color scheme used on the NARGS Forum, certain colors of text show up well, whereas others colors appear too dark and will make text difficult for forum users to read, so are best avoided. Which colors are okay to use? Use the guide below for our recommendations.
Preferred colors for highlighting text on the NARGS Forum
:
this is a color test - red
this is a color test - yellow
this is a color test - pink
this is a color test - beige
this is a color test - orange
this is a color test - lime green
Colors that are too dark and are best avoided
:
this is a color test - green
this is a color test - purple
this is a color test - blue
this is a color test - brown
this is a color test - teal
this is a color test - navy
this is a color test - maroon
