My personal favourite - Erigeron humilis

I love coming upon
Erigeron humilis
on alpine slopes, growing in scree or more stable substrates. Note the spectacularly woolly involucres and the wonderful contrast with the flowers, which are snowy white or sometimes tinged with purple. Now, does this little plant say "alpine" or not?

I'll try to do that next time I see one... you'll probably hear my knees crack all the way over in Minnesota.

Lori, I've grown E. humilis before, years ago in my "grow every Erigeron I possibly can days
", and it looked sort of like your plant but not nearly as flocked in fuzzy purple involucres as yours. That's an outstanding form.
