Phlox bryoides blooming in it's first year!

We brought this beauty in the house just before the weatherman said we were going to have a warm spell.  When placed in the kitchen window and soaked up some warm sun (as opposed to "cosmetic" cold photons), she really took off and flowered within 10 days!  And when the flowers were fully displayed, it was a thrill to see that she's ivory petaled with light blue bracts!  Not the typical colors we get from the more commercial greenhouses here.

Forcing things inside the house can be done with so many more plants than just tulips, daffs and hyacinths.  It's great fun!

Blue tints, especially on pulsatilla, can look even bluer in the overcast or evening light, I've found.

Congratulations on your "find", James.

Nice colour form Smiley Was it a commercially bought plant or from wild seed?
