Hello from Allentown, Pennsylvania

Hi all,
Great to see the forum go live! Goes nicely with the spiffy look and content of the updated website, too :-)
My name is Rob, I'm a general-purpose gardener from Eastern PA, who counts a small rock garden among his various garden areas. Of course, as most of you know, even a small rock garden can be a lot of work! You can find a few (sadly outdated) photos of the garden at
my web site
, along with photos and descriptions of many of the plants contained. Of course I'm looking forward to growing many new and different varieties this year - I've been opening my mailbox eagerly recently, hoping to find that NARGS envelope!
Hope to make some new online friends here. I foresee a good bit of discussion on seed germination techniques for all those more unusual species not featured in standard references.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob
Nice to know that people are visiting the site and linking in. What's your website address - always interesting to see other people's gardens. And yes I'm starting to check the post regularly for my NARGS seed!

Malcolm, my website is at

. The link in my first post goes straight to my page about the rock garden.

Hi, Rob!
I have often used your website when searching around for plant photos. Nice to "meet" you!

Hello Rob!
I too use your web site. I know many who find it valuable. The seed of
Fibigia clypeata
you sent me has yielded fine plants and much interest from friends here and abroad. Thanks, and welcome!
I am a member of the Minnesota Chapter and we are in charge of filling Seed Ex orders this year. I usually do not pick the orders as I mostly re check and ready the envelopes for mailing. I did see yours this past week, and I believe it went out in the mail Friday. BTW, I had to take a peak, and you have some nice choices! (A fringe benefit of hosting phase III of the Seed Ex is getting to see what "famous" members order.)
As a general Seed Ex update, so far we have sent out about 500 orders, with around 200 yet to go.

Welcome Rob! I must admit I am not familiar with your site...I will have to correct that based on the comments here!
BTW, your Fibigia have made it as far as Newfoundland (thanks to Rick!)
Cheers,
Todd

Cool! That's what I love about the online gardening community - plants grown from seeds traded from Finland yield seeds that in turn travel to other far-flung destinations!
