... the sudden realization that December 15th (when the NARGS Seed List is published)
has 24 hours just like all other days leading up to this day and you don't know in which
of the hours list will be open to view  Undecided

December 15th starts at different times for NARGS members. Which timezone are we using?

Don't know Peter - but it's exciting waiting - like Christmas stockings. Now go back to sleep or Santa won't come!

Thanks for expressing that you are waiting too.

There will be some new and unusual wild collected seed in the Seed Exchange, so make sure you get there early! Alplains sent us some very nice material at a sharp discount. Take advantage of it.

Along with the Alplains seed selections, we also received wonderful large donations of wild and garden seed from Ron Ratko and John Weiser. As well as many other goodies from other donors (including many forumists) who were able to collect and donate seed in spite of the bad weather most of us experienced this past year!

I hope you will find the seed list is well worth the wait - It should be up soon. We are just tweaking a few changes and making sure it works flawlessly for all.

Regards from an exhausted Seed Intake Manager....

There should be no worries about that!
Last year I had to send my request by "snail mail" as I was off work when the system went "live" and I still got a great lot of seed! This year we have a computer at home - which we only got operational yesterday! Only 3 hours to go!
cheers

I pity the poor suckers who don't garden. The have nothing to look forward to in January except dark and dreary days whereas for gardeners it's the start of Seed Starting Season. Don't you think that should be an official season? On year I even sent out cards (ok I'm weird even for a gardener).

Only one more hour to show time.

Hello everyone-

Just got a call from Chris Klapwijk, our webmaster and the programmer of the Seed Exchange database and the online ordering. Due to a family emergency he will not be able to get the seed list and online ordering up at 6 p.m. as he hoped but he should to be able to get to it later tonight or by morning (depending on where you are) when he gets back from the hospital. He apologizes profusely for the additional delay.

If anyone wants an email notice sent to them when the list is up rather than staring at the SeedEx page waiting for it to change(sort of like staring at a seed pot waiting for the seeds to sprout) please send me a note (seedintake@mi.rr.com). I will send out emails to everyone who contacts me as soon as the list is up. And as Fermi's experience shows, even if yours is not the first order to arrive you will have a good chance of getting some great seeds. Now there's a dedicated seed lover - getting a computer just so he can order seed!  Grin

If you're in touch with Chris do give him our best wishes.

Having been online for the last 14 hours waiting and it now being 11 pm UK time I'm going to bed ... perchance to dream ... of seeds !

I don't know Chris but please let him know that prayers are spoken for his family and all concerned.
Having loved ones in the hospital around the Holidays is more difficult than the rest of the year. The
accumulation of stress can be mind-bending.  Embarrassed

I'll back away from the "doors" to the seed and give him some breathing room. I'm certain that I'm
pressing against the doors the hardest.

Kind Regards,

James  Smiley
