Corydalis

Corydalis are very popular rock garden plants.

Some thrive in woodland settings, some in the regular garden and some tuberous species are exquisite in a sandbed/scree garden or alpine house.

Corydalis flowers come in many colors. Corydalis lutea is an easy-to-grow, bright yellow flowered species. It is not fussy as to conditions and provides colour throughout the season. Some find that this species seeds excessively, but it can be a useful plant in some areas and climates, with the removal of excess seedlings.
