We envision the Rock Gardening Wiki to be the part of the website where all of the information about rock gardening that members possess can be gradually accumulated and/or be linked to. We know this is too big a job for one or two people, so having many hands work to create the knowledge base will greatly increase the chances of it happening. The most important concept is that those of us on the website committee will NEVER foresee all of the needs and possibilities. Thus, the website will be much more useful as a Wiki with lots of NARGS members contributing to it constantly and directly, rather than having suggestions filtered through a webmaster. Even if we on the committee did somehow have a vision and plan for a "perfect website," just two or three of us would never have the time to implement it! The members' help and their leadership will make the Rock Garden Wiki grow in unexpected ways. And I'm certain that it will be a much better website too!
