Description:	Barb Wetzel, Ed Glover, and Nancy Nedvick packing seeds. It was Nancy's 60th birthday. We hold many of our indoor meetings at the County Extension Office which has a large meeting room complete with kitchen. This is an ideal place for the seed packaging as we can arrange large tables in a big square; that way we all sort of face each other and there is lots of conversation and banter as the day goes on. I think the first year we packaged seed we had around 25 participants; we now routinely have 12-14. We try to order the number of seeds that the group can pack in a day but there is often a little extra and some take them home to finish.(Barb is our super seed packer and she has often taken the remainder home to finish.) Over the years, different members have volunteered to be the "Seed Captain" who organizes all the materials and checks and packs the finished product to be shipped to Phase 3. Since we have done this for a number of years, we have a group that automatically knows what to do. Photo by John Mather.
