Astragalus ceramicus

Another interesting Astragalus. This is A. ceramicus, it is very nice in bloom but i did not catch it in time but it has these big inflated and sometimes colorfull pods. I took this picture this afternoon.

Nice pods and nice leaves! How big is the plant?

The tallest i have seen it grow in my garden is 7"(.1778 meters) though usually less. The pods can be as long as three inches. It dies back to the ground in the hot dry summer here but comes back in late winter and flowers very early.
