Gene, if you scroll down to the bottom of the seed ordering instructions page, you can see a link to a pdf of donors.

Brilliant!  The NARGS Seedex online ordering is flawless.  I love the easy access to a google image search for each species, ended up going for a couple tall Aconitum cultivars and several other plants I wasn't overly familiar with, just by clicking around.  Checkout couldn't have been easier.  Congratulations to Chris, Laura, and everyone involved with the 2012-2013 seed exchange for all your hard work and excellent online ordering experience.

For those (like me) who can use a little extra help digging their way through the massive number of seed listings, an online helper tool that I created a few years ago and have since updated for each round of the exchange may come in handy. In a nutshell, the tool allows you (through cookies stored by your browser) to compile a shortlist of species that look interesting (for me, that's a mixture of plants that I've tried before, different species in genera that I know and love, and totally unfamiliar entries that I feel like exploring), and then work your way through the shortlist with helper links to online resources. With the online ordering system in place, some of the features (such as the google search links) are no longer novel - but I still find it helpful, at least for the way my brain works :-)
You can read about the tool at http://www.robsplants.com/plantlinks/nargs/

Bravo to the Seedex!  It's quite amazing.  Didn't fully read the instructions but it is so user friendly that I had no trouble with it.  When I think of the years when I needed to make several copies in pencil and still had errors and then had to go out of the lists altogether to find out what things looked like, it just boggles my mind.  I don't think this can be improved on.  Only problem for me is the time of year - juggling all those Christmas duties, hospital visits and a couple of Seed Lists to get done - but of course that can't be helped.  Ya did a great job!  Fran

Thank You All - For the kind words about the Seed Exchange Program. It took a lot of hard work to make it seem easy to use - all credit for that goes to Chris Klapwijk for making it happen.

For any member who hasn't checked it out yet, there is still plenty of time to place your order. All the instruction you need (and more) are on the 2012-2013 Seed Exchange Ordering Instructions page http://nargs.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=230:ordering-instructions&catid=75:seedex&Itemid=123

I hope you all get the seeds you most desire!

Regards,
Laura

Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with this year's seed exchange.  My packet arrived in the mail today, full of wonderful adventures!  :)

Mine came today too!  Volunteering to package seed really does get you seed sooner.  I got most of my first choices too.

Now to research how I'm going to grow the ungrowable Primula reidii v williamsii and other similar goodies.

Ours arrived yesterday - only an extra week to get across the Pacific ;D
29 first choices so that was excellent and the second choices weren't bad either ;D
Now I just need to get them sown, germinated and grow'em to flowering size!
Thanks again for all the hard work - it really makes a difference for those of us who can't just go down to the local alpine and rock garden nursery [there isn't one] or order from one of your wonderful mailorder businesses :(
cheers

Hello NARGS Members-

I am pleased to announce that the Surplus Seed list and online ordering is now up and running at:
http://nargs.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=230:orderi...

Please read all the instructions before clicking on the “Enter your email address HERE” link under #2 of the instructions and then enter your email address in the box that comes up on the new web page. Once you are verified as a NARGS member, you will be sent an email message. The link in that email message will open up your personal ordering web page.  ** If you do not receive the email message within minutes, check your spam folder and then contact me without delay if you still cannot find it. **

The procedure for Surplus Seed online ordering is similar to the Main round online ordering, except that you can request to receive up 100 packets (at $5 per 20 packets). All members must pay for their seed order in the Surplus round; payment can be made using PayPal or by mailing a check/money order (but note that the check must reach the chapter before your order can be filled).

The surplus seeds sell out quickly so we strongly recommend you choose many more seed numbers than the number of packets you wish to receive to ensure that we have enough seed numbers to choose from when filling your order and you check the fill from available seeds box if you want to receive the full number of packets you requested.

Please note that this round of the seed exchange is very short and all orders/payments must be received by March 20th. If you have any questions regarding the Surplus Seed ordering you may contact me.

We wish you success with your seed selections and hope you will collect/donate seed for next years Seed Exchange!

Regards,
Laura Serowicz
